Jade Hewitt Media is a small photography and video business that first began in 2006. Jade works exclusively in women’s sports, most notably professional and international softball.

​

E D U C A T I O N

Jade attended Millsaps College, a private liberal arts institution, in Jackson, MS. She graduated in the Spring of 2012 with a B.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in Digital Arts and a minor in Art History.

While at Millsaps, Jade played on the softball team and was a four-year letter winner. She was awarded All Conference and All Tournament selections, as well as a being named team captain her junior and senior years.

In the Fall of 2013, she began graduate school at the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. She graduated with a M.F.A in Film Production in the Spring of 2016.

C A R E E R

In 2015, Jade’s professional softball career began with the Dallas Charge, a first-year professional team that played within National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). From 2016-2019, she was the Media Director for the the Scrap Yard Dawgs, covering all photography, video, graphic design, social media, and web design.

​

In 2017, Jade began working with USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball. In August of 2018, Jade spent 2 weeks in Chiba, Japan covering the WBSC World Championships with USA Softball, who qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and brought home the gold medal.

In both 2020 and 2021, Jade joined USA Softball​ as the official photographer and videographer for the Stand Beside Her Tour. The proudest moment of her career came when Jade photographed Team USA Softball winning the Silver Medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

C U R R E N T L Y

Currently, Jade is the Director of Photography for Athletes Unlimited, a company that fields 4 women's professional sports leagues: softball, volleyball, lacrosse, and basketball.

​

In 2020, for the first time in Topps history, she became the official photographer for a Topps Trading Card Deck that featured all professional female athletes. As of June 2024, 4 decks have been created featuring Athletes Unlimited athletes.

O T H E R

Jade loves to shoot all types of video and photography, and regularly takes trips to National Parks to explore with her camera. She loves to spend the day at the movies, read historical fiction, lap-swim, spend time with her niece and nephew, adventure out on her stand-up-paddleboard, eat frozen yogurt, and watch the Saints dominate on the field. WhoDat!

Jade is based out of Chicago, IL and Baton Rouge, LA.
