Jade Hewitt Media is a small business that first began in 2006 when Jade started filming, editing, and sharing videos for her family and friends. She started to work professionally in 2008, and has since shot photographs and created videos all around the world for professional sports teams and organizations, individual athletes, and local companies. In addition to her love for the camera, she also works in graphic design, web design, and social media management.

E D U C A T I O N

Jade attended Millsaps College, a private liberal arts institution, in Jackson, MS from 2008 through 2012. She graduated in the Spring of 2012 with a B.A. in Studio Arts with a concentration in Digital Arts and a minor in Art History. While at Millsaps, Jade played on the softball team and was a four-year letter winner. She was awarded All Conference and All Tournament selections, as well as a being named team captain her junior and senior years.

In the Fall of 2013, she began graduate school at the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. She graduated with a M.F.A in Film Production in the Spring of 2016.

C A R E E R

During the summer of 2015, Jade worked for the professional softball team, the Dallas Charge, as the video and photography intern. From January 2016 to December 2019, she worked for Scrap Yard Fast Pitch full-time as their Media Director. Jade shot all videos and photos for the Scrap Yard, created graphics for team operations, and posted to all social media accounts. In August of 2017, the Dawgs won their first ever Cowles Cup Championship at the NPF Championship Series in Baton Rogue, LA.

Starting in 2017, Jade had the honor to begin working with USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball. In August of 2018, Jade spent 2 weeks in Chiba, Japan covering the WBSC World Championships with USA Softball, who qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and brought home the gold medal! In addition, each year she shoots the USA Softball National Meeting, as well as the National Team Selection Trials.

In January 2020, Jade joined USA Softball​ as the official photographer and videographer for the Stand Beside Her Tour. The Stand Beside Her Tour took the Women’s National Team all across the country, bringing the game to the fans as the team prepared for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

In July of 2020, Jade became the Media Director for This Is Us Softball, a team that gained national attention. Jade worked with the team to create the logo, website, and graphics, as well as shooting all photos and video. You can ready about their story here.

C U R R E N T L Y

Currently, Jade is working as the Game Photographer for Athletes Unlimited, a company that fields 3 women's professional sports leagues: softball, volleyball, and lacrosse.

​

In addition to Athletes Unlimited, Jade has rejoined USA Softball on the Stand Beside Her Tour, which will conclude with the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

​

Jade also is producing, directing, and editing a travel vlog titled Quality Time, where she spends a week with professional athletes to document their life during the off-season.

O T H E R

Jade loves to shoot all types of video and photography, and regularly takes trips out into nature to explore with her camera. She loves to spend the day at the movies, read fantasy fiction, CrossFit, spend time with her niece, adventure out on her stand-up-paddleboard, eat frozen yogurt, and watch the Saints dominate on the field.
